Our programs are dynamic, visual, and highly interactive, moving beyond traditional theory to ensure practical understanding. We break down complex financial concepts into clear, engaging insights that lawyers can confidently apply in their day-to-day work.

Meet the Founder

LexFin Academy is led by Alan Liebowitz, a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in both professional services and education.

Alan began his career as a Senior Consultant at PwC in the Indirect Tax Consulting division, where he spent six years advising on complex tax matters. He later held the role of Tax Manager at Lowe Lippmann Accountants, further deepening his expertise in financial and tax advisory.

Throughout his career, Alan recognised a recurring challenge — highly capable professionals, particularly lawyers, often lacked confidence when engaging with financial concepts.

Driven by this insight, he founded LexFin Academy with a clear mission: to equip lawyers and other non-financial professionals with the financial knowledge they need to succeed.

Alan is passionate about teaching, and his ability to simplify complex financial topics into clear, practical insights is at the heart of LexFin Academy’s approach.

Why Financial Literacy Matters for Lawyers

Lawyers are often required to engage with financial information — whether interpreting financial statements, advising clients on commercial matters, negotiating transactions, or assessing damages. Yet, many legal professionals have had little formal training in finance.

This gap can create unnecessary risk, limit strategic thinking, and reduce confidence when dealing with financially complex matters.

At LexFin Academy, we bridge that gap.

Our training empowers lawyers to:

  • Understand and interpret financial statements with confidence

  • Ask sharper, more informed questions

  • Provide stronger commercial advice to clients

  • Navigate financial discussions with clarity and authority

We don’t just teach finance — we make it relevant to legal practice.
